Every time I see her she’s bigger. She’s super morbidly obese. I’ve been worried she won’t live long like this. Anyway, she just had labs done and her results were very alarming. She has out of control diabetes, but her liver is so bad, the dr can’t give her medicine to treat it. She has to get ultrasounds and see specialists right away. But she refuses to eat healthy and she eats dessert with every meal. I’m just so worried about her.
Obesity is very hard to treat because it involves many domains. I can’t even eat healthy and I am obese BMI 44 with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and fatty-liver disease. Schizophrenia is making me unhealthy but some non mentally ill struggle with the same.
She doesn’t have a mental illness?
Im so sorry
I know you mentioned her before … it sounds like she just isn’t ready to face the situation and so something about it… no one can help her it needs to come from her first
Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do
try get out for walks and stuff with them, does she want to change her ways?
She’s bipolar and has borderline personality disorder, but she stopped taking her medicine a while back because she doesn’t like taking medicine. And she’s mentally sick right now as a result of it
That sounded mean I meant its possible to help her but she needs to accept the help
You’re right @anon80629714. I just can’t help worrying about her future.
that sounds like a lot to deal with for her right now:(
I’m so sorry. I’ll be sending good thoughts her way.
She says she’s going to try to eat healthy, but she isn’t willing to count calories or follow a plan. She’s said this before but still kept gaining weight. She believes if you’re craving something you should have it
@anon80629714, I didn’t think it sounded mean at all
How is she with portion control? Could be a good place to start. Moderation and a calorie deficit is key
Thanks @Leaf 1515
She’s terrible at portion control unfortunately
You can’t force her to take meds sadly, I had twin schizophrenic friends that don’t take their meds, they talk to walls, their hand, etc They destroy walls, fight with each other etc They bring random ppl to their parents house who steal their stuff, cellphones, laptops, playstation, etc Its horrible.
They’re obese, smoke weed, cigarettes and drink alcohol all day, its sad.
Last time they told me they only bath once a year at Christmas, they stink, pee and throw garbage in their backyard. I don’t know how their parents keep them in their house.
I can’t do anything to help them.
Oh my gosh. That’s horrible! They need court ordered treatment
The worst thing is that they waste hundreds of dollars in strip clubs many times a week from their parents money. They get violent if their parents don’t give them money. Their parents love them too much.
That’s really sad.
@LilyoftheValley I’m sorry that sounds out of hand…I will pray for her…
Thanks @jukebox
