I’m losing weight ... without trying

I do think it’s the abilify. I used to take it before without weight gain but it’s never made me lose.

I wish I was still losing weight…scared I will gain back the weight I’ve lost because with the depression I’ve been eating like crap again…don’t have the will to control my diet when food is one of the only things I enjoy…

Do you comfort eat @anna

It’s a hard thing to do and good for you!

Mainly it’s about portion control and exercise…I do plenty of exercise but I enjoy food too…far too much and I like beer.

That is my downfall. I need to give up the beer!

Kudos to you and make sure your losing healthy…1kg a week is usually good!

I’m down by 7 pounds. I’m only losing 1 pound a week. But it’s not normal as I’m barely eating.

I just started Abilify, too, and have been losing 5lbs a week. But I’ve been depressed too and haven’t been eating much. But I definitely notice the absence of Zyprexa-caused food cravings. I don’t want to eat but make myself eat roasted soybeans, popcorn, and tuna each day. Before I got out of the hospital, I would have plowed thru the Snickers bars and Starburst candies sitting in the cabinet.

I also make sure to use vitamin/mineral supplements, tho, cuz my diet is so limited.

It’s all portion control…learn to eat lean but have a treat once a week.

honestly, exercise can make that difference…meanwhile don’t cruel yourself…that isn’t good for your digestive track!

That’s great, ish . I’ve somehow lost 5 pounds over the past couple weeks, so I at least have that to be happy about. I’d like to lose another ten pounds.
