They were swamped. Usually when I go for something simple like I had today they get me done in a couple hours. Anyway I have a UTI. Gotta go pick up antibiotics and pain medicine later.

I spent about 5 hours in the emergency room a few years ago for a kidney stone, boring. And time went by so slowly because I was in pain, they didn’t give me pain meds until about hour 4, after I saw the doctor and she prescribed them.

I know what you mean! I get UTI’s so often that my primary doctor prescribed some Pyridium to keep on hand! I have a big bottle of it in my cupboard. How pathetic. 
I hope you can get your hands on some soon. It helps a ton.

Oh wow, that’s terrible that you have to deal with that, but thank god you get the relief at least. Yea as soon as my son get home, around 4:30, I’ll get to go pick it up along with my antibiotic.

I’ve never had a UTI but I am at high risk for one. I am on a diabetes drug called Forxiga and one of the requirements is you have to drink a lot. (The drug causes you to pee out extra sugar). One of the major side effects is a UTI, fortunately I haven’t had one yet, but I drink a lot throughout the day to avoid it
One very serious, although fortunately rare side effect, is Fournier’s gangrene. Where your groin becomes necrotized (the tissue dies) and you may have to have some penis tissue cut out or even removed, yikes!
On the plus side it’s known to help you lose weight and I lost about 10lbs being on it…
Are UTI’s painful or do they just cause you to pee a lot?

yes, they are painful, every time you go, plus in between it burns some. And there’s this burning desire to constantly go. It’s pretty annoying.

Ouch that’s rough. My mom has IC which is basically like a permanent UTI. I’ve had them before, feels like you’re pissing needles. Glad you got the antibiotics you need, careful, they tend to make one hungry!
