I just found out I can afford Invega now!

It’s a $5 copay if I stick with my current pharmacy. The cost between what I pay and what my insurance pays I won’t have to go into the donut hole!!! Yay!!!

That said, the scheduler messed up and I can’t see the dr today. They’re trying to see if they can squeeze me in soon. Otherwise I have to wait a while to see her, which means I’ll still have to get the Haldol shot today with the nurse.

Im on invega. It works pretty well. I get paranoid once or twice a week. It lasts about 12 hours when it happens. Usually always around 6pm. It is really nice not having to take pills. And i dont see or hear things. Although last night i heard talking.

That’s great. I’m sorry you can’t get the shot. And it sucks you still sometimes have symptoms

I’ve been on Invega before when I was on Medicaid. I had to switch when I no longer qualified for Medicaid. I like Invega because I feel clear minded on it, and I have more energy. I hope it still works the same for me

I’m so glad I can get off Haldol since it has such a high incidence of TD with long term use

I’m glad you can get back on Invega. It’s one of the first meds I tried but my insurance wouldn’t cover it until I got SSI and could get Medicaid.

Yeah. It’s a very expensive med. but through my insurance, I can now get it really cheap at the hospital pharmacy for some weird reason. Doesn’t matter why though really. It just matters that I can get it now

I’m glad to hear that. I remember being a little sad when I heard you couldn’t afford the medications that work best for you. That’s not a good place to be. Anyway, happy for you.

Thanks @Mr_Hope

@Rainstorm , I can’t afford the shot. It’s way too much money. But the cost of the pills has gone way down so I plan to do that.

My pdoc told me today she’s calling it in. Yay!
