I am currently taking Invega and it seems to mute voices moderately well. The thing is I’ve been on Risperdal, Zyprexa, and Haldol and they all stopped working after 6 months of use.
I’m hoping Invega will go the distance and I won’t acclimate to it. Has anyone ever acclimated to Invega?
I’ve been getting the Invega Sustenna 156mg injection for almost 3 years. I started with the highest dose of 234mg and got it successfully lowered. I’ve been pretty stable but do have breakthrough symptoms and have inner dialogues some days.
I’m not delusional, don’t hallucinate, maintain my hygiene, read books, listen to podcasts, talk to friends, and started meditating which has been helping me stay calm and has slowed down my racing thoughts. Hopefully it continues to stay working and I can maintain my stability. Hopefully this helps!!! Hang in there and good luck!!!
I was on Invega for a year on the highest dose. I liked it. But when I got my disability money I no longer qualified for Medicaid and couldn’t afford it anymore

Wait, so you have to pay for your meds? What meds are you on, and how much do they cost?
Also the USA needs free healthcare funded by tax. Doesn’t make sense not to, considering it’s a wealthy country.
Invega is $2000 per month. I have medication coverage but I have to keep the costs low as they are only partially covered. We definitely need national health coverage.
I have SSI and Medicaid which covers all my medications. The injection alone is around $400 or $500. Very lucky to have this.
Wow, big pharma companies are ripping people off. They’ll never create a cure. Just something people have to take regularly for more profit.
