about three days ago I was bit by a lone star tick…got the head out and everything…I know because it was crawling fast after Angie got it out…we screwed counter clockwise to get the tick out…yes, you are supposed to do that…anyways…Angie says after her ex husband got bit by a lone star tick he couldn’t eat meat anymore…!! I hope that doesn’t happen to me.
Please if you begin to see a circle around the bite mark go to the hospital! That could be lyme disease

It happened to me. It’s not so bad. Seafood is still okay. I don’t really miss meat anymore. It’s been about six years. I recently tried eating meat again to see if I was over it, but I wasn’t.
My point is, you’ll adjust to this like you adjust to anything.

Was it also caused by a tick bite? I had no idea that was even possible.

Side note: I do still eat a chicken wing on occasion. I just know I’ll pay for it later. It’s usually not worth it. Just once a year or so.
But you might not develop that symptom at all. It doesn’t happen to everyone, and the risk is greater if the tick has been on you longer than 24 hours, but it sounds like you caught it early and pulled it clean.

I got Lyme from a tick in VA. Went tp the hospital with the rash and they said the don’t have Lyme in VA! Several years later it was detected.
