I haven't been out much for months

Just putting the rubbish out , and going grocery shopping .

I used to be better at going out. But it’s gotten worse. I rarely go out now. I just find it unpleasant and a hassle. It might be different if I had someone to go out and about with.

The problem with work-from-home is I maybe leave the home once or twice a week now. It’s affecting my health. Not cool.

What about taking a walk around the neighborhood?

I don’t find it unpleasant. For me it’s trying to find a reason to do so. Some people would say it’s exercise and healthy for you. That’s no doubt true for a lot of people. However in my case ,due to my poor orientation and mild agoraphobia, the area I’ll walk in by myself is about a 1000 steps there and back.

I try really hard to find a reason to leave the house each day. Right now I’m averaging about 5 days a week. Before I moved I was only leaving the house to go to the dr appointments and grocery shopping once a month. I used to not even take a bath and get dressed most of the time. Now I’m clean and dressed everyday. I’m really proud of myself for making this change.

I just started driving and I am trying to find a reason to drive everyday too and leave the house. I don’t work so I have to watch my gas too.

I’m currently attending outpatient center, there are also senior people group that they have fun of their own, I have a feeling that they get good 4-5 hours of social engagement Monday to Friday. Could you perhaps contact social worker and she/he can link you with something similar caliber? I’m sure you have it UK as well

I don’t drive and there’s no reliable public transportation in my area so it’s a bit hard for me to get out but I try to tag along with family when they go out whenever possible. I average three to four outings a week.

That’s good. Maybe in the future you could look into driving.

There’s a place in town. However it’s a little out of my comfort zone, location wise. Unfortunately their site doesn’t seem to have been updated for several months .

Same here. I need more variety in my life, but things aren’t that bad. Life isn’t bad.

Going grocery shopping and going to doctor’s appointment after pretty much the only things I ever do. 🤷 Do you want to be doing more? If so, then I think you should try to make a plan to get that to happen. But I don’t think there’s anything wrong with staying in if you’re content.

I’ve been a bit of a shut-in recently, too. No job, no friends, no girlfriend, no hobbies. This all leads to me staying in most of the time. I do get out and walk the dog every day or so, but that’s about it.

This one actually looks pleasantly good, it’s quite sad news if it doesn’t work for you. The one I’m going to is not community center per say but outpatient clinic where it has various departments for seniors and stragglers like myself.

not good, ihope that you will get upset on your self enough to move your ass out for a walk
