I have no erection and psychiatrist said "it doesn't matter"

Of course it doesn’t matter to him. He gets to go home to his mansion and romp on his old lady anytime he wants. As long as he gets his rocks off for an hour every night he ain’t going to worry about anyone else.

That’s a big side effect of antipsychotics. I have no sex drive. If I masturbate it’s like a 50-50 if I will even get off. I don’t cum anymore either. Just an empty orgasm if I’m lucky.

I am not saying you do it but if someone kicked him in the balls and he couldn’t get an erection I wonder how he would feel being told it doesn’t matter.

Supplementing testosterone can be dangerous especially if age above 40. For erection blood circulation is vital so if have some heart issues it can cause weak erection. Also there are plenty of natural things which can raise testosterone if thats the reason like for example zinc, ashwagandha etc. Anyway always consult with your doctor before taking any.

I know that my clozapine dosage has given me no sex drive. I kinda like not thinking about sex it helps me think of other things.

I’m saying do it.

I’m not a person who undervalued sex when I was under about 35
I’m lucky that age 32 I met an asexual man who became my husband

Lucky for my sanity my sex drive disappeared with a med I started a few months before I met him

I’m the kind of person who would otherwise end up abused with child etc I was desperate

I’m sorry for your problem
It’s not nice
It is chemical sex stealing

I’m grateful for my stability

If I advocated doing it I’d prove him right. Still such language upsets me greatly.

It’s not the Aps that do it. The anti depressants are the culprit.

I don’t take anti depressants. Only AP. And it affects my sex drive like crazy

That’s a nasty insensitive thing for your psychiatrist to say.

i have zero sex drive and i want to keep it that way

Me too bcz I can’t control it otherwise, it will get me into trouble and illegal services.

That’s a very negative thing for your doctor to say. They should be empathetic. If it helps I have no sex drive either. These meds must affect that part of the brain.

For a long time I wanted my libido dead as a friggin door nail. Risperdal and paroxetine slowed it down some, but it still drove me crazy (haha) pretty often. I would often supplement my ED collection with Tagamet (OTC antacid that also causes ED) to nip it in the bud.

Now that I’m working on some of my, um, “issues” and may have a girlfriend (still trying to figure it out it its real), I want my sex drive back. I’ve ditched the paroxetine, and have started looking for a risperdal substitute.

Risperdal has destroyed my sex life.
Burned it to the ground.
