I know your probably on top of it but have you had some blood work lately? I just say because my ex mrs is hypothyroid and when her thyroid is out of whack she loses hair and it gets thin!
Same thing happened to me, @GoldenRex. I have been hypothyroid almost all of my adult life. Ever since I was put on Lithium. It induced hypothyroidism in me. My hair falls out sometimes and gets real thin and other times it grows and gets thicker. Now, that I’m older, (58), it seems to be staying thinner these days. So, I just keep it really short all of the time. That way it looks thicker. My hair is naturally wavy so that helps it look like it has body. I suggest you get a perm to achieve more body to your hair. (I used to be a cosmetologist).
Blow dry it upside down and use a really light hairspray to spray it while upside down. Butt I guess that depends on the cut/style of that’ll work or make it look weird. When I had short hair that’s what I did for volume. My hair is stick straight and baby fine. I don’t get volume for ■■■■.
Take tests and talk different ideas and solutions for you?
If nothing else seems to work and it means a lot to you you could try hair extensions and if you can then grow your hair back and let it take its time to do so or are you bald and don’t want to be you could do a hair transplant.
I have had hypothyroidism since I was a teenager, treated by daily use of the synthetic thyroid hormone levothyroxine. I periodically get a blood test to monitor the condition. Fortunately, I have never had any hair fall out.
@GoldenRex. Both when I had shoulder-length hair and now that I have even shorter hair, I typically just blowdry my hair on low heat setting with head upside down and then let my hair air dry the rest of the way. This seems to be gentle on the scalp and hair and seems to add volume. I don’t use any additional hair products (other than shampoo) because of allergies.
