Isn't doing your hair a great source of stress?

Isn’t doing your hair a great source of stress?

To me it is and my current hairdo is a 1cm-long short hairdo which is anything but stylish.
But all I should do is to cut my hair with the hair clippers once every three weeks which has helped me free from that stress. I don’t need to dry my hair so I can go straight to bed and lie down right after a shower.

I do want to have longer hair but it’s impossible for me now.

My main symptom is fatigue.

I love my long hair, but yes, it’s a pain. If I want to shower before bed, I have to blow dry it first or it looks crazy when I wake up and I have to spend an hour straightening it. I never know what to do with it to keep it out of my face either, especially at work.

Mine is a bob and she put layers in
It is quite wavy and I let it dry naturally

i recently cut my hair really short too… its a bob… long at the front, short at the back… its easier to wash than long hair…

My hair is not a problem really as I wear a turban style scarf over it all day. Only problem is washing and drying it but that’s not every day. Sometimes I go days without combing it - I just scrape it back into a short ponytail (my hair is chin length at moment) and put on the scarf!

I’m wearing my hair in a short pixie cut at the moment. I’m back to all grey now. No color. It’s really easy to care for. I wash it once a week. I use Rogaine 2% solution for women to keep it nice and thick. Stuff seems to work.

I would looove a pixie cut but hubby likes my hair longer. Boo! If I could I’d wear it short. I don’t show my hair anyway so what’s the use of wearing it longer?

I though i was gonna go crazy today cause of my hair. Cause last colouring faded off and i had a hint of red ,brown and since i highlighted it abit also blond and copper. I didnt know what to do. I ended up colouring it into my biological colour which is light brown and saved a few blond highlights. Now it looks so amazing and i feel amazing. I didnt know medium short hair is my style.

Yes I struggle with this. I usually get the nurses or support staff to do it. I’ve probably only brushed my hair 20x myself in the last 2 and a half years. I’m my hair is long and down to my bum. I just get the nurses to plat it and keep it in for a few days. I love my hair and refuse to cut it. I really find it hard to maintain myself though :disappointed_relieved:

I have a layered angled bob. All I do is shower in the morning, spray it with beach wave spray, scrunch some waves into it, and hairspray it. If I blowdry it it looks messier. I’m never going to curl or straighten my hair. It’s just not going to happen.

For your hubby, my dear. One day, when you get older, you will have no choice but to cut it and your hubby will understand.

Hair is a chronic source of pain in my life.

Its too long, my husband accidentally rolls over on it in his sleep, Its hot in the summer, brushing it is an ordeal, and I’m not good at styling it.

Oy! I am sick of hair.

@Hadeda has got it figured out…

Maybe I can make a scarf or something work for me.

My mom always said that a woman should not have her hair length past her shoulders after 40. I’m 50 and my hair is well past my shoulders… It is a drag, though. I almost always just wear a ponytail.
Every summer I let it go grey for a few months but can’t stand it and color it before the school year starts. I love grey hair on other women.

I had long hair when I was 50 too. It was after menopause that I had to cut all of my hair off.

It has thinned a lot, especially in the front. I worry that I can’t see the balding that everyone else must see… :flushed:
This thread makes me think I should cut my hair…

For an honest opinion, ask your hairdresser.

That would be me.

Get a second opinion from another hairdresser. Get a third and fourth opinion even.
