I’m looking forward to it. My mum’s coming to mine to give out sweets ( candy ) to trick or treaters.

I always enjoyed Halloween when I was a kid - lots of candy and fun costumes!

Right after my psychotic break in 2014, I had a negative view on Halloween because I had a bunch of religious delusions. I thought it was evil.

Now I can’t even believe I thought that.

I hate how psychosis changes how you think and feel in ways that make you feel like a completely different person.

I don’t really think much about Halloween, I never have done. It’s just another holiday to me

It’s just a folk festival time, it has no meaning anymore. My understanding is it was a time of the year when a lot of people died in western europe as the cold weather set in and famine from the the end the growing season killed off poor farmers etc. There was an ancient religious explanation for that beyond the plain material facts. Trick or treating was a type of charity system where people would send their children around to collect scraps of food etc to prevent starvation in the long cold winter.

Halloween isn’t really a deal to me anymore. I used to love trick or treating as a kid. We’d stay out all night. Later on it just became a night to party. Now and since we don’t get any trick or treaters it’ll just be a standard day.

Yeah Christmas is expensive and hard to find the “perfect gift” I find it stressful tbh this time I’m only giving one aunt and my brother and sister gifts too damn expensive

I’m am the freak no costume required…

Im not really into it. But my partner is obsessed with the halloween aesthetic. Im not sure about the origins of halloween. I feel that you could find 10 different sources claiming 10 different origins to where it came from. But i dont think that there is much evil power in it. Its just a silly dress up and candy scoffing time that massive capitalists love cause they can sell and bunch or halloween themed products and junk food.
