Does anyone else here dislike Halloween?

I’m really sensitive to it, especially having gone through hearing voices that talked about rape and torture so much.

im a big fan of halloween  do a party every year for friends and family

My first teacher didn’t let us celebrate it. She said it was devil worshipping.

I’m not a big fan but I do like when the girls ■■■■ themselves out in Halloween costumes. Many fond memories.

It’s hell on my weight loss attempts. Candy has become too plentiful and affordable.

I hate the sound of knocking.

I love Halloween.

I was too self-concious at Halloween as a kid - to say ‘Trick or Treat.’ I just held out my sack. Pretty much the same now.

The only thing I don’t like about Halloween are all of the horror movies that come out. I wouldn’t mind it if every other commercial wasn’t a horror movie. It sucks because I used to love watching them, but now they trigger me and I see that stuff walking around the house at night. The girl from the Ring used to stand beside my bed at night and try to reach out and touch me. Last year around Halloween a friend of my mom’s posted a video on Facebook that freaked me out. It started off very innocent and then flashed a demon girl. I was so pissed that there was no warning as to what type of video it was. Now I don’t watch any videos on Facebook because I don’t trust them. Everyone tries to scare each other this time of year and they don’t realize it stays with some people. :sunny:

My daughter has spent the last two months hoarding paper towel and toilet paper tubes for this:

I live in the culture where Halloween is not celebrated, some people still do this I suppose, I have never celebrated it, just wondering how pumpkin tastes like?

Yeah , once i got my illness under control , i started to like psychological suspense stories , definetly not gore though.

I don’t celebrate Halloween myself, but I don’t mind other people do it because it adds some colors to our life. So when the kids knock on my door I will be pleased to answer it and give out some candies or chocolates.

I really dont like the Trick or Treat part - you know the ringing on the doorbell part during the night - other than that I kind of like the feel of Halloween - definitely a part of Autumn

I have a hard time with people coming to the house so Halloween is hard for me. Basically, I barricade myself in my bedroom and let my parents answer the door.

I’m sort of mixed about it. I like carving the pumpkins and I like the Fall and it’s fun seeing some of the very cool home made little kid costumes.

I don’t like all the hustle and bustle… the mandatory horror stuff and how everyone has to be loud.

I also like the day after halloween candy sales. :lollipop: :candy: :chocolate_bar:

living in the states now, i don’t really get it and i’m not a fan of halloween, but i do enjoy eating pumpkin things. i just don’t like the noise. it’s a little bit much. and the whole idea of tricking…f that. i’ve been tricked enough by life, i feel. i don’t like people in costumes either. though, isn’t everyone in a costume on some level… such is life.

We don’t really celebrate Halloween in South Africa, but even if we did I wouldn’t like it because it is based on pagan traditions. There’s nothing to celebrate about witches and evil things!

We don’t really celebrate Halloween here in OZ but they keep trying to bring it in. Just seems cruel to me to have Halloween then Thanksgiving so close to Xmas in the USA.
