I had it yesterday morning, I had to take 2 pills of Akineton ans it stopped. I think this is the worst side effect to me, because I always get some crisis of voices when this occur and they get really really mad

Sounds like your muscles contract and your eyes just don’t relax.

Benadryl helps if they have it where you are.

Sounds terrible whatever it is.
I was just reading up on these things, particularly side effects and treatments.
You got a good doc. That side effect is rare and particular with just a few drugs to treat it.
I want to be awesome like that.

When I have it, my eyes are looking to climb up and I have crisis of voices.
I’m sorry you had that happen to you. I’m glad your doc already had that medicine for you.
It’s one of three similar meds commonly used, so yes

Hi @Andy, mine do the same thing. I get oculogyric crisis then the voices will start. I always wondered why they did it, I thought it was something they did to me. but I’m glad I found you who it also happens too

this happened to me twice on a drug i now have to avoid
it was a severe dystonic reaction. my tongue rolled non stop as well as eyes and also i seized over to the side a little
I was psychotic and it was late alone in flat (alone apart from my boy friends’ telepathic going on)
They came over every day to give me the pills that caused it

Ok. Yes, i have oculogiric crisis once a week. I had it during 2 years and i still have it. The crisis have a duration of 1h and comes and goes in the same day. Sometimes i have it twice a week. It very uncomfortable. Now i don’t take akineton because akineton damage my memory. I just wait.

Do you have voices before or after it?
No. My diagnose is non-specific psychosis. I had only 2 moments in my life that i heard something that seems “the voices”. I noticed that after a moment of stress i have this acute dystonia. Always after a big emotion/stress.
I also get it when I’m stressed, and then usually the voices will start after
