I gotta stop eating junk food

I’m almost 250 pounds. So I need to stop eating chips and popcorn. I need to lose a lot of weight so I can get healthy again and hopefully stop my blood pressure meds.

I lost a load of weight but it’s starting to go back up again

Been eating a lot of take out food, which is not good.

Going to try and stop for a bit and see if it recovers

I stopped eating delivery foods and I still gained weight. I think it’s because I’m on the highest dose of Invega Sustenna.

My statements are just words in a sentence but here it goes. Eat fresh fruits & vegetables as well as doing both aerobic & anaerobic exercises every day. Habits are hard to change but when it comes to your health and your life, change is needed.

I rarely eat junk food but I eat food with lots of calories like rice, bread, cheese, etc which is still bad.

I weigh 260 pounds and I eat junk food every meal

Since getting back on the Depakote I’ve gained 5 pounds.
I’m constantly eating!

My appetite greatly increased!

My nutritionist warned me that Depakote will increase my appetite.

I want out.

Sorry about that @Vertigo.

That’s really unhealthy. At one point I weighed over 280 pounds after I started taking Zyprexa in 2015. I was able to lose some of that weight after I quit taking it but I’m having a hard time getting back down to a normal weight.

I’ve cut out virtually all junk food for almost 2 years now I think it has been. Very occasionally I have pizza or burgers or subs or other fast food as a treat.

I use to eat junk food all the time when I was on olanzapine, it gave me a voracious appetite and I never felt full. I was 240lbs at my heaviest. My blood works was pretty bad too back then.

Since going off olanzapine and eating better I am now 175lbs.

That’s great @Headspark! I’d like to get down to about 175 pounds myself.

Thanks, Yeah, I’m only 10 lbs away from my BMI weight, but my doctor said for my height and build I am fine now, and my blood work is all good now so I am doing a lot better.

I got to start eating less and healthier too. When the pandemic started I heard Corona attacks those who are obese worse, so I started exercising more. Controlling what I eat has been another story.

I hate exercising. I’m trying to lose weight by eating less.

Successful weight lose is done by doing both eating well & exercise.

You can lose weight by just eating less or eating healthy.

True, but if you can also exercise as well, you’ll see a dramatic weight loss. I can honestly confirm this.

Sometimes it’s hard to find motivation to start eating healthier, but it really is about forming new habits.

Like don’t buy junkfood or snacks at the store.

And make it easy on yourself if you have little motivation to cook. Make easy things like oven meals that need little attendance. I often eat fish or meat with vegetables that I put in the oven. Sometimes I start off the meat and fish and then add some vegetables later depending on which vegetables I’m using, that way they don’t get overcooked. But even so, it’s a pretty low maintenance meal.

Another easy example is cooking whole grain pasta. You can add meatballs to the boiling water if you want a quickfix and eat it with raw tomatoes.

I do a lot of that. Meat pies, shepherds pie, lasagne, stuff like that.
