abilify is great so far. the lbs are slowly melting away. im surprised. makes me happy a little also and after my second shot, it appears to be working now. its so nice not to have to take pills which remind you how crazy you are. anyone else on invega or abilify maintena? do they have cheaper shots like haldol? is haldol’s shot long acting?
I took shots of perphenazine at one time.

It’s not bad but I am not losing weight at all.
my doctor didnt believe i was taking my geodom, so she put me on the shots. sorry abilify isnt making you lose weight, im super blessed to have the dopamine i need from abilify. i hope i continue to lose weight. if i dont ill say my destiny is to get off meds… maybe…

I got my Risperdal Consta 37.5 mg IM shot on Thurs afternoon by my nurse, in my apartment. She unwittingly used a dull needle. It hurt!! Anyway, it is working well. I have been clear of symptoms since Thursday afternoon. And I feel really good. Calm, focused, no delusions or paranoia. Minimal anxiety. I also take Geodon 240 mg po and Seroquel 200 mg po. It’s all good.

Oh Trilafon (Perphenazine) works for me. The doc decided ultmately oral meds were easier on the system than injections.

I took maximum dose Trilafon pills for years and years. They did absolutely no good for me. Like taking sugar pills. Those were the days in the 80’s and early 90’s when they had nothing better to offer you. Glad those days are over.

I get my Aristada shot tomorrow. It’s pretty sad when you look forward to a shot, but I need it. It’s supposed to last four weeks, but it doesn’t for me. I get it every three weeks, and I don’t think the full effects last even that long. Wish I could go back to oral Abilify. 
For how long do you get full effects with Abilify Maintena? The shot I get is a slightly different form of aripiprazole. I’m wondering if Abilify Maintena would work better for me.
maintena is amazing. i dont think ill ever forget about the cia though.
I may ask my nurse about it tomorrow, though I’m sure that one way or another I’ll still get my usual Aristada shot. I see my dr again next month, so that will probably be the soonest I could hope to try the Maintena shot.
