Should I try to get out of Jury Duty with a excuse from my pdoc? What would you do as a Schizophrenic?

I always get excused.
I don’t think it’s allowed for someone with a psychotic disorder to sit on a jury.

How do you get excused? Do you get a note from your pdoc to send in?

Yes your pdoc will write a note to excuse you.
He or she will know what to do.

I had that happen 2 weeks ago. I had my therapist write a note. Haven’t heard back.

My CPN wrote me a detailed note now I am exempt for life!

Take some heart perhaps bc I’ve never been called and I’m kind of up there in age, a little sometimes it feels like the government knows me a little too well.
Thank heaven though bc I don’t have a governmental delusion

I had been called for jury duty sevetal times. I got out of it each time because I’m schizophrenic. The last time they asked was about 8 years ago. I can’t remember what form I filled out but now I’m excused for life.
Which suits me just fine.

I did. I just didn’t want to do it. Lots of stress and waking up early that I didn’t want to do.
Felt bad while I was asking to be let off, but looking back I think it was the right thing.

I always got out of it because I was in the military. I think I would do it now. Like a vacation.
