So I got a jury duty summons a week or so ago. I have been pretty symptomatic because of worry and stress over it.
So I got a note from my therapist and emailed them after I filled out their online application and was initially denied excusal.
So today I got an email back saying “Your request to be excused is granted.”
I AM SO RELIEVED! I really attribute my excusal to your guys’ help! Thank you so much everyone! I hope everyone has a good day. 
that’s what I thought…sz’s don’t serve on jury duty…if I was you if they Had let you stand in jury all you do is stand up and shout. " I"m schizophrenic and I can’ be allowed jury duty"…out of court immediately…ha
Yeah I’ve been summoned twice but have never served. I told them I was schizophrenic and wouldn’t be able to follow what was going on. I would think anyone diagnosed with schizophrenia wouldn’t have to do jury duty.
