I agree with that. My older brothers don’t acknowledge my disability and they just call me lazy instead. I really only have negatives from the medication.

I don’t think I could ever convince them otherwise.

Only one way to manage negative symptoms and that is to develop good habits and follow them strictly. The reason for negative symptom is lack of emotions or blunted affect. Habits help us to do things without the help of emotions, interest etc.

Have you tried to do exercise @anon67051439?

I don’t have the motivation or will to exercise.
I had when on Abilify bcz my psy said Abilify is the best for negative symptoms but I developed life-threatening side effects.

Maybe starting with a small walk is good. I feel that exercise helped me. A lot of people report the same. I started doing exercise very slowly, initialy I walked for 10 minutes. Can someone go with you?

I fear ppl and going outside my house.

You seem to want sympathy for your problems , while dismissing the difficulties that others have .

Sympathy for my problems doesn’t help, that’s the issue of apathy and avolition. Others here can get helped but not me.

I need meds for my severe negative symptoms.
My pdr said there isn’t yet, science is not as advanced yet.

Nobody does. Not even most neurotypicals. The point is, if you force yourself to do it anyways, it can become a routine. After it becomes a routine, it starts to become enjoyable.

There is no pills for negatives yet but your pdoc should have prescribed exercise.

You know, I love sports, I am a physiotherapist.
PreSZ, I was addicted to sports, soccer, basketball, gym twice a day. I was 130lb 172cm BMI 20. I gained 150lb BMI 43 now.

What do you think of returning to exercise? You already know how to train that’s good. Can your parents or brothers go with you for a walk?

They always try to force me to walk with them but I don’t do it bcz it makes me uncomfortable.

I think you should accept their suggestion and go with them. What makes you uncomfortable?

If you are looking for some medication for negative symptoms then try these.

Make sure your vitamin D, B12 and thyroid level is in optimal range. Deficiencies of these can give you low energy and might be one of the reason for negative symptoms.

NAC and green tea is good for improving energy, alertness etc thus useful for go along with activities.

Main thing is you need to force yourself to do useful activities like exercise, eating food on time, going to sleep and wake at almost same time everyday, bathing once a day or once every two days, brush teeth after dinner etc. These all not come automatically like before but we must force ourselves to do it with no option to put off. You already doing somethings daily like eating food, sleeping etc the thing is we need to add useful activities too in that list and once it becomes a habit or routine its easy to follow along. The reason why you not feel so to do is because of the influence of current bad habits like sleeping all the time, not doing exercise etc. Just like we can form bad habits we can also create good habits. Replace bad habits with good ones.

I hate to break the news to you but I don’t think your negative symptoms are worse than mine.

The difference is that I try to maintain a positive attitude and you don’t.

You are capable of accomplishing a lot more than you think.

Yesterday you helped assemble a new BBQ grill, you prepared different foods and cooked them up on the grill and you took photos of the food and posted this online!
