I think it was far less a case of bullying than genuine concern over the effect that thread might have. Your flippant responses could have been seen as provocative

About your thread that prompted this thread, although I do not support them constantly dictating how everyone ought to post or not, often in tones that border on insulting spirituality or political expression, I understand their point. Some thought tact was in order. Therefore their remarks were not a form of bullying. I did not read all posts, to be fair.

it felt like people were attacking me, there were some that thought it was ok but the insults really made me feel bad, i thought i was a supportive influence on this forum and i didn’t deserve that

hey, i love you guys man, i wouldn’t intentionally try to mess with anyone, i try to lighten the mood sometimes with jokes and things as well as being supportive, that thread wasn’t me trying to make fun of anyone, it was a chance to try and make fun of the actual mental illness so its not as bad

Really its just a difference of opinion on the effect of discussing something like Telepathy in a way that one member is concerned might increase the risk of psychotic thinking. Reasonable people can disagree on this topic.
Its a little like the topic the other day about “Funniest thing you’ve done when psychotic” discussion. Some people thought it was negative - I saw it as positive because everyone does something that they recognize later as funny or embarrassing when they believe something that isn’t accurate. From the psychiatrists and psychologists I talk to - this is a very healthy thing. People sometimes think they are the only people who have ever done something foolish or unusual based on a belief that later turned out to be inaccurate. The more you realize that everyone has these experiences - the more you can let go of any embarrassment and say “OK - what I did was rather funny, but not a big deal because everyone does things like this at one time in their lives” - and move on.
But - I can see how others might disagree - and thats ok to disagree. We just want to do it in a way that is civil and respectful.
People need to keep this in mind.

No worries mate , I understand you were trying to make light of a troubling situation. I think most of us that are on this site know that.
But it could be the non members browsing this site looking for answers and may get the wrong idea is all.
