I don’t know why social security

Social security said that there is no medical evidence that autism effects my ability to work

Long story short my lawyer and I appealed the initial decision because it was only partially favorable, and I had another hearing with the same judge and he ended up completely going back on his decision and said I’m not disabled. I’m still receiving payments while we appeal.

But I reread my autism assessment and he clearly states that autism significantly affects my ability to work and take care of myself and my home.

I’m not sure what more evidence you’d need, especially because I’ve been hospitalized so many times and my therapist has talked about how autism plays a role.

Did your lawyer ask for an occupational therapist to consult the judge when the court heard your case?

When I went to court for my SSDI they had an occupational therapist look over my file and testify to the court.

Yes she said both hearings that I am unfit for work, my lawyer thinks the judge took offense to us questioning his judgment?

That is horrible. So much for being impartial. I lose a little more faith in our legal system as the years go by.

Hope your lawyer can help you.

I wonder why a combination of sz and autism doesn’t make you disabled in the judge’s eyes. I really hope your lawyer can help you.

My disability includes sz, ptsd, depression, bladder issues, and white brain matter disease. I applied and was approved and on benefits within 3 months.

My case manager says they rely on medical documentation records about your conditions for disability.

My lawyer said he has thousands of documents about me, 15 hospitalizations and years of weekly therapy

Dang… i hope you appeal. Not sure how the process works from there. Might be the particular judge. Do you get another judge in an appeal?

We appealed immediately, social security said it won’t be processed until next year most likely, and I have to go to court again. I probably will lose income at some point

@Kxev this is the story, it was appealed from the beginning because he said I became disabled in 2019 and not 2014, and that effects benefits
