If they’re your good friends and you wanna keep them, just friend them back. I did that once and most people friended me back.

Id just be honest and joke about it to them like “hey silly me unfriended you cause I thought you were with the CIA but I got my head straight now sorry bro lol”

Yes, you don’t owe them an explanation for unfriending/refriending them. If they do ask, just say you made a mistake. Personally, I’d leave the CIA out of it.

I deleted almost everyone on my Facebook cuz “god” told me who was to be deleted.
Well I ended adding people back later and no one bugged me about it.
So just add them back

Glad it worked out! I often delete everyone and slowly add them back. Very rarely do my close friends even question it.

Ages ago I did something similar to a couple of friends. I went back and got back into contact with them. They were understanding and one didn’t even ask for a reason (knows my struggles I think)
I’m not a Facebook user and avoid Facebook because of all problems like this (and more) but if you want to continue using it and have their friendship you can just add them again and send a nice meaaage. Then you have done your part. The rest is on them.
You should delete facebook.

I think your entitled to some polite excuses. (white lies). Some friends will let you use them graciously with out even asking why a second time.
