One of the people that I was friends with unfriended me on facebook. It is because I responded to one of his post almost denouncing him because he was saying things like calling people crackers and saying to kill all neo-nazis and cops. Don’t know how I feel about being unfriended. On one hand if I get a job with a clearance I won’t be tied to someone who one day may become a domestic terrorist. On the other hand I can’t try to guide him away from hate. He is one of those people that believed you couldn’t be racist to white people so you can treat them like trash.

Doesn’t seem like much of a loss to me, you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. I’ve had people unfriend me for no apparent reason. Then again, I’ve unfriended people simply because I was no longer interested in seeing their posts. I recently unfollowed my uncle without actually unfriending him, for the same reason. I didn’t need to keep reading his negativity.

I don’t like the idea that someone can be friended and then unfriended. Or followed and then unfollowed.

Even if that is the case, it is not polite to unfriend someone who has just accepted the friend request. I don’t have better solution.
