I am looking for job

The social worker told me to look for a better job. I read the ads and applied for a few. But I feel uncertain about what I can do. I need some advice. I have made an appointment with the labour department to receive service for people with disability.

I am tempted to apply for jobs that makes use of my past qualifications and educations. It is a lot of hard work from the past. I’m wondering if i should give up all of my training and work experience and keep working at simple jobs only. It might suit me better to work an easy job. But giving up is not easy. I feel unrest.

You can try it and see if you’re capable, if not you can always find something else. Congratulations on the decision

I revisit the problem what I can expect of myself. Really think I can’t manage much. Maybe it’s already all I can do, working in a simple brainless job. I don’t like it but I don’t think there is an alternative.

Well, at least you’re doing something. That desire in itself is already progress. You should be proud of yourself. Just be aware not to put yourself in a stressful situation.

I think a new job is stressful to me. My present job is not stressful. But it is not a perm. I feel restless when I pick up problems like these again.

I didn’t know you were working. Good for you. Maybe you can find something better, but if you think you’re alright why change?

Because of the funding source, my job is only temporary. I cant expect them to hire me in the long run. The social worker told me to find a better job.

I read an ads I’m interested. But I think it is demanding. I don’t know if I should try.

Oh okay. Good luck with it than. You’ll find something good.

Depending on your field, there may be jobs that are less stressful but still make use of your training, experience and skills. Maybe not the same job you had in the past but instead an easier but still related one?

I find satisfaction from doing any job. I work as a janitor. I put in an honest days work and do my best and get paid every two weeks. I’ve been doing it for 4 years now. I get compliments on my work and it makes me work harder. I’ll keep doing it as long as I can. It puts me around people which is good and takes the focus off of my problems.

I have to take a month off but I can’t wait to get back. When I was a teenager I wanted to be a lawyer. Oh well, life doesn’t always give us what we want. I’ve made a career out of low paying entry level jobs. I do what I can and so far it’s working for me. Sometimes we have to swallow our pride and make due and forget about shooting for the stars.

I hope you’ll try something you’re not sure of because you don’t know until you try. No pressure when it’s a learning experience. There’s no failure in the search for what works in your life. You’ll get satisfaction in whatever job you decide is right because it’s right for you. Best of luck!!!
