My advice lock away sugar carbs junk food in the garage or something.
It’s so easy to give up when you open the cupboard or make something with high calorie carb ingredients.
Just had an Apple for a snack.
Start today! Of course depending on your time zone it may be too late to change what you’ve eaten today, or do a workout, but change your self talk. One of the biggest pieces of advice I received was to stop saying I’m a binge eater, and start telling myself “I used to be a person who binge eats, but I have the power to not binge eat.” Saying “used to” instead of “I am,” creates an incredible power dynamic in the mind. That can be started at anytime. So, start now.
Pick the thing you want to change, be it a bad habit or a goal, and say “I used to be a person who did X bad habit, but I’m not now. I may stumble but I have the power to change it.” When you identify with success, you’ll find success. It changes the mind to not focus on how hard something is, but to look forward to the process and the small and large wins you’ll find throughout your journey.

Yeah, I’m ready to push a bit harder on weight loss. I am taking yours and others advice not to try to do too much at once with the smoking cessation going on, though. I’m still mostly cutting out snacks and could probably bump it up a notch and do the same with exercise.
Exercise helps with smoking cessation so it doesn’t count.
