I can’t really give any advice as I’ve been over weight a long time now. Stop buying junk food, oven bake chips and go for the sugar free pop. I’m slowly coming down in weight, alcohol was my problem. I was told these meds can make you more hungry than normal and motivation can be a huge problem. I’m sure you will get there in the end, good luck.

You will have a bright future if you control your diet.no junk food, more exercises.

I get a high from sugar, a thirst for junk food!! This needs to end. I might go back to being a vegetarian. At least I was healthy back then. I don’t even know how my sugar levels are right now. And my cholesterol.

Are you a member of fitness club? You should be fitness club member. Then you will meet people who can control the diet.

Not yet. There’s a gym opening close to my house, it’s still under construction. I won’t start a membership elsewhere, I want to go to that one.

Actually mindfulness can help! There are studies about it’s effect on addiction, how it alleviates it. Basically the mechanism at work is that it desensitizes you to go grab that snack. You must first go through intense cravings and ā€œliveā€ through them without acting on them and eventually it gets easier to resist them.

Easier said than done, I know!

Alright alright, I’ll start reading the mindfulness book I bought. Has a bunch of exercises

Without gym, you can also be fit. There are many Videos about workout using public park devices. Gym is better, to be honest.

Do u still practice it,??? @coolfool…
i want to see it result i am also in hit and trail of mindfulness…
so far result are fairer and beneficial…
i will continue till i like it…
and i want to hear ur experience with mindfulness…!!!

Yes, I still practice! Just ended a one hour sitted meditation

My advice would be not to expect to much of it, or else you’ll probably end up dissapointed. It helps in giving you some space in your head to feel your environment, how you feel in your guts and your general mood for the moment, leaves you less trapped in thought and more in feel, from that point on you can build many things by focusing your attention on them while meditating( happiness, steadiness, tranquility, etc…).

I try to stay away from thoughts that make me feel physically ill and focus on the changes that happen from then on, it’s a little like learning by bits that the fire burns, your mind has the tendency to lead you to places (i am more and more feeling them like places, thought they are in fact thoughts and feelings) that hurt you, and during meditation you just acknowledge ā€œwow, that hurt!ā€ and eventually start recognizing those places from miles away and how to avoid them.

From what I’ve read you do the osho meditations right? How’s that going for you?

Try to not keep junk food around the house… Then you won’t have the option to eat it!

Also once I started going for a mile walk once a day, I stopped eating like I used to. It curved my appitite.

Another thing is don’t put yourself on some strict sucky diet. Eat what you want to eat but everything in moderation.

I tried to cut out junk food completely when I starting walking a mile everyday (sometimes 2 miles) and I was miserable plus I wasn’t loosing any weight. And once I did indulge in junkfood I enjoyed it so much and had been thinking about it for so long I over ate thinking ā€œI’ll just walk it off tomorrowā€ .

I actually gained more weight trying to eat healthy and walking than eating whatever I want in moderation and walking. But maybe that’s just me. I don’t know. Sorry if my post is poorly written. Lol

Goodluck! :pizza:
