Is there a reason youre taking olanzapine when there are better drugs like rexulti and vraylar gedone etc.?

Try the odt olanzapine or the lybalvi form. I take the odt olanzapine and don’t have too much trouble with my weight. @anon15119022

I’m on 10 mg Lybalvi and don’t have side effects except maybe sleepiness. It’s zyprexa plus an added ingredient for hunger pain. It’s expensive so your insurance may not pay for it. I would look into it.

I’m on zyprexa. I have to ignore being hungry to a extent aside of my planned meals. I make sure to eat a good meal before bedtime so hunger doesen’t keep me awake.

I remember when I was psychotic they gave me olanzapine and during a very short time I gained like ~15 kilos

I’m currently taking 10 mg before bed. Was previously on 20 mg.

Might lower it to 5 mg.

I was on 7.5 mg when acutely psychotic but reduced when i was well enough as i found the side affects too much. Im currently stable so i dont really want to rock the boat. But at the same time im fed up of being hungry alot of the time and not sleeping because im so hungry. Im a small female so im able to take a lower dose as high doses are too high for me. Do what is best for you. And make sure you are stable and well enough to reduce

I take alot of zyprexa. My weight stays the same. I need to lose weight though. This weekend I ate junk food. Today I will eat better.

I always feel terrible after eating rubbish. Especially alot of sugar. I feel like i cant stop if i eat too much.

You may have metabolic syndrome or the beginning of it, Zyprexa also gave me this, Zyprexa is one of the worst with screwing with your hormones and blood sugar. I can never take Zyprexa again or I would get violently ill. Thankfully I am now on clozapine and that helps me much more than Zyprexa with less side effects. I found that vigorous exercise helped alot with metabolic syndrome, if I pumped iron and/or went out for a run I would feel alot better, sometimes it was a very profound improvement.
