Luckily in Scotland we have no venomous ones.
So I am welcoming this little fella into my fold. I would take a picture but I think he is shy!
I was told house spiders mean your house is damp free

I’m lucky, I don’t get much x
I live out in the countryside so we get loads at this time of year. Always the same kind of spider as well
Here, I often see centipedes in my room which could be eaten by spiders. I rather would see spiders rather than those disgusting ones…!
Most cool. We have some nasty ones around but most of the big ones aren’t too much of a problem. Huntsmen spiders can get big but they take care of other critters so leave them be. Things like redbacks are poisonous and common in my neighbourhood but they aren’t aggressive. It’s more you accidently touching them.
I kill all spiders except the ones that are outside on my back covered patio sometimes…I still get bit by some kind of spider in my bedroom on my face…the bumps take forever to go away and I don’t like that.
We have wolf spiders and brown recluses in this county. I used to wear shoes all the time if they showed up I’d get 'em. We have one pair of wolf spiders a year. First I’d get the male then the female and no more until next year. shoes made me brave.
Yeah it’s just ugly. It’s good it’s not like the black widows I would find in my house while living in Arizona.
Black widows!!
Yikes!!!
These are dock spiders. They jump in the water and catch minnows. Completely harmless but pretty scary looking.
Oh my God I hate spiders. But unless they are in my house I never kill them. Spiders eat other worse bugs. (My cat just ate a moth)
I was scrolling through this thread and the dock spider in that photo practically jumped out at me.
I LOVE spiders. When I move out I plan on getting a tarantula! Probably a pink toed, those are like arachnid puppies.
We have a few spiders on our back patio. I like them because they keep away all the bugs.
Pink toed Ts are awesome. I sorta want to get a Vietnamese Centipede. Ferocious as ■■■■. I’m still thinking fancy goldfish when I move but ya never know.
I wouldn’t mess around with spiders in Australia, I hear you guys got some real dangerous ones. Over here they are mostly harmless.
@agent101g . Yeah we have some nasty critters but like most animals they are scared of humans. Redbacks, whilst not lethal to most, are incredibly painful and really very common. Luckily they aren’t aggressive so you really only encounter them in sheds/garages etc. You get used to living with critters and as I say some spiders I let live if possible because they do take care of bugs.
The first time I saw one in real was when we docked the boat and it was just sitting there. I refused to get out of the boat lol.
