Unwanted guest on my bed

Stupid spider!!! A real one this time :frowning:
It’s funny how I don’t panic as much now I am on anxiety meds.
Last time a spider was in my room, my dad stormed out of the house because I was screaming so much and annoyed him.

You are in the uk right @Jesspresso? We have no venomous spiders I think. Spiders used to freak me out but now I think of them as my little flat Mates!

Yes and I think some of them are venomous like the small yellow ones but luckily I have never seen one in person.
I can never rest knowing that I am in the same room as one!
I’ve seen quite a few big ones recently…

Me toooooooo. Like I thought it was a tarantula

Yeah this is the time of year they start coming in the house. Didn’t know we could get venomous ones. Am a bit scared now :scream:

You’re in the uk I think they are coming out this time of year. Never seen them that bit though.

I don’t think the poisonous ones are native to the UK, they are brought over from other countries in things like crates of bananas and then they breed :persevere:

The big ones I have seen so far have been in a doctors waiting room and in a clothes shop!

One time when I was a kid I woke up with a fiddleback spider crawling on me while I was in bed. It can be serious if you get bitten by those things. I lucked out and didn’t get bit.

At least I found the one in my room the other night. I still have no idea how it got into the kitchen sink!

A fruit bat flew in my house last night and I screamed like a little girl.

Flailed around until it flew back out.

Couldn’t control it. Just 100% natural reaction.

So don’t feel bad, its evolution, we fear these things for a reason.

On the up side, my super hot neighbor came over to check on me with out a shirt.

So, not a totally bad experience all together.

My brother brought home a pet tarantula when We were teenagers living at home, don’t know how my mom allowed it.

One time she called me in a panic saying I had to come home now! I was up the street babysitting, and she NEVER called me home before, so I grabbed the baby and ran home.

My mom had discovered the tarantula cage was open as she was vacuuming the bookcase in sat on top of, and was afraid of it either being out loose-or sucked up in the vacuum, either way she didn’t want to get near it.

It took about 5 minutes search to locate that fuzzy beast sitting contently on top of the books on the second shelf. It took all my might to pick that thing up with my bare hands, and put it back in that cage.

All I could think of was it would sink it’s fangs in my hand, but when I set it down, it seemed to have a little smile on it’s face, grateful to be a safe distance from my mom.

We made friends that day, and I learned that they aren’t so bad as we think.

Wait so it went from your room to the kitchen sink?
When that happens, I worry that there must be two.

Sorry. I probably shouldn’t say that :stuck_out_tongue:

Omg that would freak me the hell out!

I can’t relate with the hot neighbours but their pets are cute :dog::dog2::poodle:

Omg that would be one of my worst nightmares!
I think I would have just called pest control. :telephone_receiver::bow_and_arrow::oil_drum:

I found a second one last night, I used a book squish it, as it went and hid in a corner…

Let’s hope that it’s the last one.
