How would you rank antipsychotics

Hi folks.
Based on your experience, how would you rank antpsychotics you have tried? Which antipychotic is best for you? What antipsychotic was worse for you ? For me, the best is clozapine, the worse is risperidone.

Best regards.

The best was abilify. The worst I remember was prolixin or clozaril. Just proves we’re all different!!! Clozaril worked really well but had the worst side effects. Prolixin made me disassociated and muscle weakness and akathesia. Abilify has very few sideeffects and controls my psychosis.

Abilify was very bad for me. We are really different. Take care.

I like chlorpromazine best, then olanzapine, all the others make feel restless.
I have never tried clozapine.

My worst AP’s - clozapine and haloperidol
My best - amisulpride and risperdal

Presently on amisulpride and olanzapine. Together they work well - a moderate dose of amisulpride (for voices and agitation) with a very low dose of olanzapine (for deadness and depression). If i take higher dose of olanzapine then it has negative effects on me becomes a cause of deadness instead of taking it away. Quite a paradox!

I guess the worst was Haldol. The best is my current AP Abilify.

I was on a depot injection of Chlorpromazine which was my worst (maybe the dose was too high). Sulpiride wasn’t strong enough. I have been on Olanzapine for 11 years now and few complaints (I am fat on the belly but no massive weight gain or diabetes so far). Once again; proves we are all different.

I forgot amisulpride. Amisulpride was also great for me. Do you have elevated prolactin levels? I had that and had to quit amisulpride. Other than that, amisulpride was great.

I don’t know if I have elevated prolactin but sometimes my breast leaks watery substance. And my sex drive is virtually nil. But other than that I have no problems.

My bests are Geodon and Seroquel, followed by Abilify and Latuda. My worst was Haldol. God that drug made me miserable. Prolixin was next worst, followed by Moban. Then Stellazine and Mellaril come into the picture. Basically, all the typical ap’s are horrible for me. If they try to make me take one of those again they are going to have to catch me first.

My worst was Zyprexa. Felt like a zombie with it. Another bad one was Ablilify cause it was not efficient on the long term. The best until now have been Saphris but I still have side effects that I don’t like, but less than with the other ones.

Worst for me was Risperdal, made me feel like I was in hell. Abilify made me feel like I was in a partial hell. Saphris gave me a big seizure and made me feel weird. Haldol works for me at low dose, but too high and I’m miserable. Low dose Zyprexa works great for me, low anxiety, good sleep, I haven’t gained much weight either.

Two thumbs down
