I can only defer to your doctor. If they think it’s very unlikely I would take their word on it. They are professionals after all.
Just to add from my own experience of caffeine and sz - too much caffeine can be bad. I got sedated bad from some meds and resorted to huge amounts of coffee. I quickly got pretty anxious and unsettled.
I only drink tea now and then only 3-4 cups a day. I feel better for it. Saying that I completely understand that a lot of folk respond well to lots of coffee - the side effects of these meds can be a pain.
I’m aware of this hahaha. The topamax completely wipes out my urge to eat. So I have to tell my self to eat unless I go the whole day without eating. And when I eat, I only eat healthy foods, I completely cut out sodas, sugary foods and snacks. Being on that regiment while exercising a few times a week works wonders
When I take a lot, it makes me anxious, possibly paranoid, and have panic attacks. But I find it helps with my mood and lessens sedation. I just got to pace myself. For example, I think having three energy drinks and a cup of coffee yesterday was too much. I felt some uneasiness and anxiety for a couple hours. L Theanine does wonders in reducing positive symptoms from caffeine.
This drug has been used successfully as a treatment for alcoholism,[11] methamphetamine addiction, cocaine addiction,[12][13] obesity[14][15] and antipsychotic-induced weight gain
My advice would be to talk to your pdoc first. But I take 300mg a day. There are side effects to it and they are pretty heavy. The main one for me is cognitive impairment. I find my self forgetting what I’m talking about mid sentence and what not.
It was bad during the first month or two on being on it. But when I got used to the medicine, the side effects lessened substantially. The benefits also outweighed the side effects as well.
try walk 5-10km a day every day even if its around your neighborhood and eat healthy and you will drop the weight really fast in a couple months.
you don’t need to do weights, gym or anything else.
I went from around 85-90kg to 62kg when I was going through schiz because I was rarely eating and walking around 20km a day my only real treat was a 6pk of coronas on friday night after work and i’d drink them on the way home than pass out in my schiz episode.
Yes - simple carbs like pasta, potatoes, sugars, sweets, soft drinks, etc. are probably the biggest reason people in the US are so overweight (generally). Avoid them and you’re going to be well on your way:

Hey everyone, today I started taking care of myself. I shaved, brushed my teeth and showered. Then, I did 30 mins on the treadmill now, just walking. Got a good sweat and heart pumping. Feels good
Now it’s time to get the diet in check as well, and continue working out.
If you work out before your meal, you’ll burn more calories, and your body will process the meal better. You will also burn more calories as you go about your day, because you worked out in the morning.
