My doctor said 1 mg of risperdal is equivalent to about 2.5mg zyprexa.

Who is right?

I think the top dose of respiridone in my country is 8mg. And the top dose of olanzapine is around 20mg. That would fit with your doctors appraisal.
But tbh I don’t have a clue. You will need a professional opinion

I found another site. If I read it correctly I think it says 1mg risperdal is equivalent to 3.75mg zyprexa.
The “top doses” are not written in stone. Even though the manufacturer says 20mg is the top dose of Olanzapine I used to be on 40mg.
There probably is no exact equivalency. Since multiple websites and doctors are saying different things 1mg of risperdal is in the neighbourhood of 2.5-5 mg of olanzapine.
