I really lack the motivation but I can certainly try to manage walking (in the house) for at least 10 or 15 minutes a day.
I figured that it beats not walking at all.
Exactly the same for me only I’m not tall like @Hadeda, I’m only 5’4".
same here wave… I pace a lot while smoking, this is my daily dose of exercise. But twice a week I go out too, either alone or with dad, and we walk for about 2 hours. And once in a blue moon I hit the swimming pool
I was 64kg before I was on Olanzapine full time. Two years later I was 98kg.
Been on Latuda for two years, and I stayed at 98kg. However the last few months I am now down to 86kg by eating healthy and everything I eat I halve what I would have had normally. I try to only have a maximum of 1,200 calories per day where possible.
I am aiming to get down to 75kg, but I want to do it gradually. I need to try and exercise but was supposed to start for 2017, but not got to it yet :-/
I gained about 35 lbs on either Risperadol or Abilify. After all meds stopped, I quickly lost 10 lbs. The other 25 lbs have been around for almost two years more though I’m now motivated enough to try working it off a little.
you look like you’re really cleaning your plate there too. Remarkable that you were able to stay the same weight. Bravo!
That was 17 - 27 and i had gained and lost 10 - 20 kg in between those pics twice
I’m now about 80kg and 42, good pics are non existent now
Over the years I’ve gained a total of 115lbs. I was underweight to begin with, and now I’m very overweight. Always working to lose it but so much is working against me.
Eta: 105 of that was thanks to saphris. The rest is from latuda.
still no noticeable difference, you must have good genetics. gaining weight is not good for you
are you not reading me? I’m 190 lbs
well then hopefully they will bring out better meds that don’t cause the side effects that we have now. Its terrible. I agree.
You look great in both pics, I posted my "now’ pics but there was a bit of paranoia and i took them down
you’re very pretty. Its too bad that this illness affects everybody.
I gained 30 kilos mostly when I was on Clopixol depot. I have lost 10 kilos again but I am still very much overweight.
i have always been heavy and loved to eat. I weigh just a few pounds more then i did when i started having sz symptoms in 2010. the interesting part is that in 2013 i became very depressed and lost almost 50 lbs. i ate only one small meal every two days. then i gained it all back.
Thread Hijack!
how long were you on Clopixol depot? I’ve switched to oral (maintained at quite a low ish dose until recently)
2006 Depot,
Was on Depot 400 - 600mg once every 2 - 4 weeks
2014 switched to Clopixol in tablets,
now taking 50mg 2x daily (high dose)
how does it rank out of the weight gainers?
I’ve not been able to lose weight and keep it off on this med in fact
i got down to 145 lb but it lasted a few months climbing
god that’s 20kg
@Thanna I was on Clopixol depot for just more than two years. I had a 200 mg shot every second week. It was lowered to 100mg at some stage because it was so sedating. After the Clopixol I went on Olexar (Olanzapine) and it gave me diabetes. I’m now on a daily dosage of 25mg Abilfy.
Thanks
Struggling not to complain re: dose I’ve been given
in the Community Been going a bit mental with high stress
But yeah
It’s a high dose
I’d be more concerned about your hair changing color all on its own!
I gained 40 pounds in 2 months while taking Invega, and another 10 pounds while I was coming off of it.
i gained 40 pounds and i got a bad haircut …
