I have two.
Honestly, I just haven’t gotten rid of them.
Once my husband and I got robbed while on vacation,
So we got guns for actual protection.
But we don’t have that need anymore.
I’ll probably sell them at some point.

I can’t own a gun anymore because I got involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital in 2015

You can’t get one here in the UK in the main unless you have a practical purpose, plus a license to own it.
They also have to be kept locked up as well.

I don’t own one but my dad almost shot me with a shotgun.
I don’t live there now.
Used to have one when we lived in the country. It lived in a gun safe that only my wife had the combo to. I own a fair number of bows, but have never fired an arrow at anything other than an archery target.

That came out wrong.
I should have said,
Our house was robbed while we were on vacation.
After the robbery, there were rumors that it was done by a nearby gang,
They literally took all they could carry and said they were coming back for the rest.
So, we got the guns.
And we moved not too long after that.

I’ve been committed by the state of Maine twice into the psychiatric hospital, so by Maine law I’m unable to own a firearm.

I don’t trust myself with a gun at all. I’d shoot myself for sure.

Throwing metal pieces of gun at people, could have a similar effect to firing one at the same person. There is also the intimidation factor of doing so.
I don’t plan on throwing any.
I don’t think anyone ever plans to but you have to do what you can in the moment to protect your family.
Last COVID check, I was all ready to buy one, but an agonizing reappraisal of myself revealed that I’m just too unstable. Dang.

I had a .22 LR, a 12-gauge slug and a .30-06 rifle. I kept getting messages telling me to shoot myself through the noggin with them so i sold them to friends.

I would be open to getting a .22 mag or a .410 bore shotgun at some point for hunting rabbits or other small critters. The 12 gauge was just way too much.
