How many of you have schizophrenia as your first diagnosis

mine is depression, then bipolar then ocd and then i think i’ve got the “schizophrenia”, i dun deny that i am a schizophrenic now but i would say it is because i’ve received the treatment and taken the antidepressant at the very first beginning and they made me until this state, that’s why i am really hateful to the meds and the opposing to the treatment .

At first I had anxiety, fears, attacks. Then no suicide attempts and I always told my family I was going to commit suicide. I would run away/ sneak out. I manipulated them. Stole off them. All before the age of 16, then I got schizophrenia and put on meds

Me too diagnosed schizophernia at first episode. My pdoc treated me for that. I think because of age and symptoms factor.

You have to have symptoms for 6 months to get a sz diagnosis. So that’s not likely the first one you get.

I think @anon80629714 and @Wave SZA is diagnosis and after it Bipolar is only due to medication factor.

Schizophrenia-schizoaffective/bipolar- personality disorder nos- paranoid personality disorder - last appointment in Oct 2018 Schizophrenia and ASD seen as best fits. This over 44 years since I was given a specific diagnosis.

I think my first diagnosis was some sort of anxiety disorder, Sz came later. I sometimes wonder if I have other diagnoses they just aren’t telling me about.
