How long before it gets easier quit smoking

A day, 2 days, a week, a month?

Did you crave anything while quitting?

intense craving lasts for approximately 2 weeks.

Then it gets a lot easier.

Helps if you really, really want to quit.

The pull to ā€˜harm’ oneself with cigarettes in the future will depend on how good you make your life.

You could also study and change your mindset.

for example, ask yourself if you want to be dependent and thus weak by smoking?

Check your motivations daily, like I don’t want to smell/reek of smoke, have yellow teeth, get COPD, wheeze and cough going up the stairs or even, not want to die.

It all helps when you feel the pull…

Im all studied up, thanks anyways

I’m trying to… It’s hard as hell when u have stress everyday

I had to stop being romanced by the cigarette…a powerful mystery to me to this day…it had me baffled with it’s ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  but my oxygen level was going down every six months and I was scared straight…easiest quit I ever had and that was over two years ago.

I spent years believing all types of ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  was legit…smoking is just the tip of the iceberg for unhealthy crap in my life lol

I quit cigarettes 14 months ago and the vape 9 months ago. At first i used both the patch and the gum, and cravings still lasted about 2 months after giving the vape up. I also chewed on cinnamon sticks. I tried giving up the gum a few weeks ago but became a royal b*tch, so i just went back on it. I don’t mind still using the gum, it doesn’t exacerbate the COPD. It’s just expensive. I’m glad i quit even tho it was hard…

Not sure if you can get Amazon where you live. But I buy ā€˜Amazon basic care’ nicotine gum. Their own generic brand.

Works out as the cheapest source for me

I quit a few months back, first few months were iritating

3 days is the first big hump, most people agree on that. that’s the nail biting time where you sweat

then you need to avoid triggers for cravings for 2 weeks, then 2 more weeks. Then you should be barely feeling it, go 2 more months and congrats you are a non smoker.

My opinion at least, I had to try like 20 times before it worked. I just went through a very calm happy month that last time I tried and it was enough.

We think same thing…
Also, nicotine makes you alert, and I consider it ā€œmedā€ in matter of gums and patches.
