How do you explain this phenomenon?

When you’re with someone and you think about something, and then the person says the thing you were thinking about just before you had the time to say it.

Having these experiences makes me believe in mind reading a bit, that we can communicate with thought.

But I may be wrong. Is it always just coincidence or are we able to communicate thought in some way?

Sorry if this is not allowed to talk about, in that case feel free to close thread.

You only feel mind reading that’s a symptom of schizophrenia. Your perception is ill

Since a while I have registered as a member, someone may know me a bit – I am a patient. I believe there may be some connections between two brains, I have met up other one’s thoughts – even read them, but no signal (even I am now imagining what they could be), without a peep in the head such things to notice what partner was thinking. To the doctor as well, then she reacted ‘Mr. Chen, did you go to church recently?’. To patients as well, with whom we were living together. The reading-up back to me, I can list two co-patients, one has done drugs and he is lovely evil. The other one is Muslim friend from Turkey, and he read I was going to help a girl with 50 Euro note. I am a good guy, and never mind their reading-ups, in this case some can be dangerous. The doctors can handle that und fortunately there are medications for it.

Do you know what retconning is? Your brain does that so that what you think you perceived now fits the framework of your delusions. It’s a feature of your mental illness. I have the same issue.

Two people communicating are like two circles connecting like a venn diagram.

The mind searches for common ground and the two circles merge. Thinking and searching for common ground is normal.

Magical thinking that this is a phenomenon is just skewing your thoughts towards it being psychic or whatever. It’s not.

Simply overthinking general communication!

its just coincidence. believing in mind reading is a delusion and i suffered from it during my first episode of schizophrenia but after the right treatment (electroconvulsive therapy and antipsychotics) i get rid of it. but lately i have it from time to time not always and i resist this delusion.

I

That does not happend very often, but it happend to me and others while younger. From my point of view it happends between very close friends or people that are in tune at specific moments.
I am talking about pure facts, discutions between others and I do not see this as a sign of sz, or delusion. I see it closer to syncronicity.

And this is how I can tell you’re not married, LOL.

id call it reading between the lines. Were all a lot more similar than youd think. Were literally genetic copies of eachother lol… all part of the human family. Our minds think along similar lines and certain ideas are connected besides that. We also can sense eachothers emotions and are smart about human nature… its nothing weird, just empathy and feeling what others feel. Understanding eachother… or reading between the lines about what they’re thinking about.

Where do thoughts come from?
From inside the brain or outside the brain?

Some math theories were discovered at the same time, by two mathematicians, far away from each other, that had no clue about the other one works.
