I lost my mom 5 years ago. As a result, I ended up back in the hospital after staying out for 25 years. It threw me for a loop. I hope you have support from other family members in this difficult time.

I’m sorry. I know it’s very hard.I have a lot of support and am blessed. My Schizophrenia never takes a break. My therapist put me on new meds to help.

I hope the new meds help you like they’re supposed to. You’re sure right about schizophrenia though now that I’m older my schizophrenia isn’t as bad. I wish you good luck.

I’m so sorry you lost your mom. Stress like that would trigger mental illness to anyone. Hang in there and see your pdoc as soon as possible to help you out with the symptoms

Thank you so much. She was in a nursing home. We talked to her outside her window with my iPhone and the chaplain put hers up to moms ear so she could hear us.I wanted to hug her.The nurses and chaplain were wonderful. They held her hand and stroked her hair.I’m grateful, but due to Covid, we couldn’t go in and say goodbye.

No😢 I’ve been having panic attacks everyday, feeling detached and my Paranoia and voices have gotten worse.

auwww =( sorry to hear that.

Do you have some ways that can help you relax?
Maybe you have some PRN medication that you can take when you feel too bad?

how long has it been since she passed away?

December 5 2020. I am in touch via phone calls with my physciatrist. He started me on Buspar(along with my Lexipro) for depression and panic attacks. He has tried a lot of anti psychotic meds, but I have bad side effects. I’m trying to deal with the paranoia. I feel like my neighbors are working for an organization and are following me and watching me. My new therapist is filled up till April have to wait to see her. Doing a lot of praying. God helps a lot.

My husband’s mother passed 12/6/2020.

He doesn’t have any mental illness and still had to go to therapy and be put on benzos for about two months because he was having panic attacks.

I think losing our mothers is one of the hardest things in life,

Be gentle with yourself during these times, try to keep yourself busy and distracted.

I lost my Mother on September 2019.
I still miss her but I’m coping rather well.

I’m sorry @Abbeynormal but it does get better over time.
