I used to smoke 1-1.5 packs/day, and three months ago I quit cold turkey. I really think that is the only effective way to do it.
I’ve only smoked ten today.
quitting gradually can work, too. I did 5 years ago.
Didn’t succeed quit today
I would recommend quitting gradually.
The method I used was to spend a week counting how many cigarettes you have each day. Then take the most common number and try and smoke 5 less than that each day. Then after a week smoke 10 less than that first number. Eventually you get down to like 4 cigs a day its much easier to stop.
I also would recommend vaping if you CBA to quit. It doesn’t fix the problem but its a much better substitute. But if you want to quit try the method I stated. Its a lot more realistic in my experience.
That’s what I did. Yep. I have small cravings to vape but I’ve fought it.
How much do you spend in a month on tobacco??
How much a month do you spend on cigarettes??
How much did you spend on cigarettes for one month??
I have to produce $50 a day these days.
$50 x 30 days =$1500 per months and the price is mercyless increasing. Where is god now ? I got better things to worry about than taxes. When i wouldn’t need them for my mental health i wouldn’t have started smoking.
I used to spend about $300 USD per month on cigarettes.
Oh my goodness. That is really high. I only get about $1000 a month on disability I wouldn’t be able to afford that. Maybe theAustralian dollar is different than the canadian dollar.
Wow. That is really high. Thank goodness you quit! I always wonder how much cigarettes cost for people. Thank you for replying.
You can look it up on the internet. The approximate income is $900 a fortnight for pensioners here in upside down. You can work it out in percentage and tell me how much percent of your income you spend on cigarettes. I must take mental disabling/helping psychomeds and can’t work anymore. I used to work but chronically fatigued.
I tried to stop smoking and become unbearable i mean so much being unbearable i will be alone. I love to be alone but its mentally ill. Similiar to alcoholism.
Okay wow. Your rent must be cheap. I don’t smoke but I spend about $350 a month on alcohol. So I think your income is around $1800 a month.
You guys get twice as much money as us here in Canada.
Government housing is 25 % of the welfare, that is bearable, private rent in a nice quiet apartment is 50% to 60 %.
Wow. You are soo lucky. I wish you could try to save more of your income. You could be rich! I receive half of what you receive and rent here is very high. But if the tabacco helps you and makes you happy then that is all that matters. I wish you good health and a prosperous life.
I quit cold turkey, but I wasn’t a heavy smoker. Only like 2-3 packs a week when I was smoking. I mainly quit because I moved back in with my folks, and they wouldn’t let me smoke here. So it was either have a shelter/home, or smoke. Easy choice.
