I watched a story on the news today that said robocalls have increased significantly due to new technology. I’ve seen a significant increase in robocalls, so when the news story mentioned that there are apps that can block these annoying calls I downloaded one (some charge a small monthly fee).

Have you experienced an increase in robocalls?

CRTC who governs phone companies has ordered the phone companies in Canada to start blocking them, so no don’t get to many

Yes,

And my phone tells me they are “scam likely”,

So I don’t pick it up.

But they call from a different number every time so you can’t block them.

Obnoxious.

I been bombarded by these damn robot scams. It’s the same line too “this is a final attempt to reach you regarding student loan prequalification blah blah blah”. I would have expected they chose a different sell if they were gonna be calling the same person multiple times a day everyday

I have noticed I’ve been getting a lot more robocalls!

And I find them super obnoxious!

If I don’t recognize the number, I don’t answer my phone.
We get a lot of scam phone calls.

It’s so annoying!

Yeah it’s rampant out here in Australia. I get a lot around the same time every night from call centers with Indian ( Asia) accents.

I get one from someone saying they are from a solar energy concern. I just tell them I only deal with nuclear power and if they aren’t dealing in plutonium I’m not interested. Actually had one skammer tell me to Go f*** yourself. I’m proud about that!

I spammed a spammer!

But don’t be fooled; the callers may start out in pleasant, interested, accommodating voices, but may just as well be hated-filled and warlike.

I haven’t had robocalls, but I’ve been getting some calls from a Swedish number, where someone with a Indian accent tells me they’re from Microsoft Tech Support…
I’m normally polite even to phone salespeople, but I just hang up if I accidentally answer those calls.

I’ve been getting so many robocalls the past two years about student loan forgiveness. Not sure what the scam is, but I looked it up online and it’s definitely not legitamite.

I wish they’d stop calling!

@Pikasaur it’s the same bloody people we get! I do the same. I used to try and be clever but it’s just beyond that. I usually just hang up or play like I can’t hear them…I still have a part of me that wan’ts to fock with their minds!!!
