I got a call from a verified number and i answered and it was silent then hung up in my area code
Its making me extremely paranoid
I received a voice message that sounded automated It just said ‘‘press 1’’ didn’t receive another call from that number later, can you block the number?

Yes. Robo callers will spoof numbers to make it appear that they are a local call. It is beyond creepy.

I received a robo call from my own number…
I remember when I was still psychotic and had just moved back in with my parents, My dad would get phone calls from himself. It would say his own name on the caller ID. In my psychosis, it really made paranoid as to what was going on and fed certain delusions.

all the time. Its a spamming technique the telemarketers use. Their machine will ring your phone with a real businesses number and then once you pick up, they jump off the piggyback and try and market you. I think it should be illegal for them to do that but I get a half dozen calls a day easy from somebody using a legit business number to scam you into picking up your phone before they switch over.
