yeah it’s cool. Just something to take on board. I had to move off risperdal years ago for example and I read here all the horror stories about zyprexa. I wasn’t happy but moved to zyprexa and it’s been a great med for me. I wish I hadn’t listened to all that advice as it was counter productive and unless you try things you just never know with psych meds…Yes. Share experiences but don’t tell people what to do is my point.
@rogueone ahh, yeah I had the worst experience on zyprexa as well. Sometimes there is a sort of majority consensus I think but yeah def have to trial and error yourself
I wasn’t picking you out. On the contrary it was directed at some previous posts. Just keep in mind. We aren’t able nor qualified to prescribe meds and all experiences are different with our current science. Keep cool and be nice to your fellow community members.
Im on haldol for the last 4/5 years. I feel pretty chill but i also dont feel alot. Like its blocking my emotions. I tried abilify for 2 weeks but became super manic
I am taking 15 mgs. My cognition, memory, thinking is literally dead.
I am also trying to get off it. TD is a major risk, more so with a second antipsychotic.
I agree. 151515151515
Hey there! Im also on Clopixol for about 4 years, im getting serious leg cramps, do you get leg cramps?
I have a blood test about it and my doctor says it might be caused by Clopixol
Hope you don’t mind me asking you about it
I don’t know because I’ve been on the side effect medication bipertine(antiparkinson pill for motoric side effects) 2 pills a day and I’ve had non physical side effects from it the last 30 years, no weight gain from it, no sexually side effects and no TD. This drug is the ideally meds for me. It hits the psychosis hard without the debilitating side effects that most of the drugs causes that I’ve tried.
@columbus thats brilliant mate
I really wanted to stay on Clopixol depot injection
Its just these bloomin leg cramps
I dont know
I just want to add that I’m on seroquel as well and that’s the one atypical that resemples Clopixol the most. It’s very calming for aggitation, positive symptoms and OCD. I’m not giving you the advice to switch to it but I have a very good feeling with it and it has some of the same advantages as Clopixol without much twitcing. I really had a long battle with myself before I came to the acceptance that I had to be on two antipsychotics to stay healthy.
Ducky when I took Clopixol alone it was easy to maintain a healthy weight but since beeing on Seroqurl I’ve got a little bit overweight and can no longer loose any weight by dieting. But take my word for it that it’s of much greater importance to get mental stable than getting slim.
