Haloperidol is worse than schizophrenia itself

I agree. Which is what I said from the beginning. No one did anything to you.

Darn, I had my heart set on that new Ferrari you were going to buy me.

  1. IF you want to get rich you try to restict presents.
  2. I can tell you that no investor from the middel class would ever invest in an expensive car because of all the expenses of a car like repairment, gazolin and road taxes.
  3. And last but not least what you earn won’t make you rich but what you avoid to buy that will make you rich.

I guess that Ronco pocket harpoon was not such a good idea.

ANyWaY,

point is. Just don’t jump down peoples throats when they have committed no wrong in the future please.

Peace and good.bye.

my ex pdoc (now dead, he covered up psych ward abuse, so I’m not that broken up about his loss) put me on haldol for a while in the 2000’s. Said it was because of my lack of health insurance at the time. I had been on geodon zyprexa resperidone before that i believe. it zombified me. i felt like the only reason i couldn’t hear the voices was because i was partly in a coma. but it did alleviate the psychosis. i generally prefer the newer gen ap’s tho. i switched to third gen ap’s after less than a year on haldol and had better experiences functioning.

atm my abilify is not working very well, but it worked for a decade so i might have built up a tolerance.
i got cannabis hypermisia in 2020 from smoking high thc weed and ended up the ER. cannabis hypermisia is when you get short of breath, vomit, and get diarreah until you end up in the ER. I was vomiting endlessly. anyways, they gave me haldol in the ER, they said it would help. I’m not sure if it was specifically due to the cannabis hypermisia or if it was because my pills weren’t working very well and i was pretty out of it and talking gibberish in the ER…but either way, after they discharged me i passed out on the hospital lawn from the haldol waiting for my ride. guards woke me up and demanded i stay awake. they said i was freaking people out lol they thought i’d died outside the hospital, i said i was on haldol and couldn’t hold myself up. they stood there and kept yelling at me whenever i flopped over.
so haldol is too zombifying imo.

Some people tollerate the 1. gen antipsychotics the best others tolerate the 2. gen best and others tollerate the 3. gen the best. I myself have very good experiences with 400 mgs clopixol every other week( this 1. gen I have been taking for 26 years) and Seroquel(750 mgs by mouth 2. gen for 12 years). These meds keep me calm and content most of the times.

haloperidol … I did used it b4
it is high effective and it is said that in books too
that means you can do your highest important tasks in your life …not more than this …
not doing all tasks like normal ppl
your mi person and i think you understand what i m talking about
for me it is good med if taken moderately and not for long time…and if taken in long acting injections …and forget about side effect written in books if you took it moderately …
etc
in my opinion …
-------we will make know you it is very bad med!
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I’m sorry but I’m stupid (no joke, no ironi, I really mean it) but whats the point in this discussion. I do admit that my points of view were rather ridiculous. I’m finally woken up to a normal life and I can conclude that for som Haldol is a bless and for others the pest. I will try not to criticise other peoples medicin choices.

It’s hard to generalise the effectiveness of APs across all individuals

Take my example

I tried several APs before I tried Olanzapine which worked for me. Some people say Olanzapine was terrible for them, and some say, for example, Flupenthixol worked great for them, but for me it was a terrible experience

Each individual experiences differences with the medication. There is currently no studies or ways to predict how an AP will work for you

I ended up in the ER after taking haldol.

I ended up in the ER from seroquel tachycardia

Yeah Seroquel does that. I can handle 200 mg but when I took 400 mg my heart rate increases to 120 until it wears off. After a while that goes away and I can take 400 mg no problem. Seroquel is unpleasant if you take it and don’t fall asleep.

Just like to add, haldol does indeed suck. I destroyed aprox ~$800 of property on it as I was also highly suicidal first 2 months. On abilify now doing much better would give haldol a strong 1/10

Reminder we are all different and react differently to meds. What works or doesn’t for you is probably opposite to another member. No prescribing but anecdotal stuff is ok. It’s not an exact science and it’s important that you remember that it can be a life saver for other members.

@rogueone agreed, but nothing wrong with sharing experiences right?
