My request to be excused from jury duty got denied.
I’m panicked. I don’t get it. I said I have sz and severe anxiety. Can’t even get to the courthouse because I can’t drive on busy streets.
I’m ■■■■■■. I am going to be thrown in jail.

Do I email to them you think? I had to fill out an online form.
There was no spot to attach a dr note

But did you tell them that you are diagnosed with schizophrenia?

I had no chance. I had to fill out an online application. It’s all online nowadays.

You need to mail a letter from your doctor to the court house. You should call to make sure you send it to the right department.

You still have to go through jury selection. That’s the part where I get filtered out.

If you have an online way to reach your doctor (like myChart) send a note to your doctor. If not, call or go to the office. Ask the doctor to write a letter for you to be excused from jury duty. Give the doctor your jury identification number along with any fax and email addresses that the online document said you could send proof to. Your doctor should be able to handle everything for you.

I told them when i was picked for jury duty that i sometimes hear voices that tell me what to do and that, in all likelihood, any local judge has probably committed me in the past and would be biased. Yeah…NOT chosen! Just get your pdoc to send a letter to the clerk of court…

There.must be a way to send them a dr note so you do not need to show up. Give them a call and find out. If it is too close to the date, you may just need to bring dr note in person

I got a note in a email from my therapist saying I could not do jury duty. It’s in a pdf file.
I sent off that note to the proper court employee
My husband is looking at having to take time off of work for this.
I’m s o worried
