I got into an argument with my cousin. She claims sz,sza, and other mental illnesses are not genetic. Our grandpa was sz, so is her mother I also think her mom may have dementia. My dad is sza and I am too. That is way to coincidental.

Does your cousin deny heredity because she might have sz/sza?

Basically, the statistics show a genetic link, but it’s not 100% cause by genetics, or else identical twins would both have schizophrenia 100% of the time.
