I have a google mail account from way back. I hardly ever use it. Periodically I check it to have to delete massive streams of spam that gets through their spam filters (which are crap).
That’s weird. I almost never get spam. Do you sign up for a lot if things using that email that are likely to send you crap? I haven’t gotten spam in years.

I have it and don’t get any spam anymore, used to but not in the last year or so
still getting used to the new layout
but it actually is pretty cool
change is hard though

No . What I did do a good few years ago was use the address a few times to post on google groups.
I have a domain hosted at fastmail from which I have an email address I use for usenet . That gets a fraction of the spam google mail gets.
