I have long since deleted my Facebook account. Now my mom is making read hers about some argument between her and her former friend and one of her sisters.
There’s a reason why I have not created a new Facebook account and re entered that world of narcistic people. Please don’t make me read yours when I don’t even want to participate in my own facebook account! I don’t want the drama!
I found Facebook like High School in some ways. And also, I had joined a few groups on Facebook, mostly to do with music, but there were always snipers and no-one moderated
The only reason I joined Facebook, is because I broke a string on my acoustic guitar, and everything was under lockdown at the time. Soon as my buddy lent me a set of acoustic strings, I quit going on Facebook LOL
I have paranoia around social media and facebook in particular. Wont get into it but it really sketched me out in one instance… The website itself not the people on it, which are a whole other story lol
I’ve “ignored” so many people on facebook – always for posting too much about politics, one way or the other. But in general, it’s okay. Kind of depressing actually. Most of my high school friends have families now
I like Facebook but I am not a heavy user of it. I have caught up with some friends from primary and high school. I keep in contact with some family that lives far away. My feed is pretty boring, mostly news and memes. I don’t post comments too often, I just like peoples photos on occasion. I’m a member of a few Facebook groups but don’t post in those too often either.
I also have a Twitter account. I’ve never posted a tweet. I just follow hundreds of interesting personalities and read what they have to say.
I deleted my FB, too, several years ago. I stopped using it several years before that, though. I briefly used it again, before deleting it, but it was awful. So, I permanently deleted it. For good. Never going back.
