Giant beefy arms. lol

I have been lifting a 10 pound dumbbell  I want to have giant beefy arms, hope the guys will still date me after. Just bought 20 and 30 pound dumbbells today. I’m addicted to it! Who here loves weight lifting? How much do I have to lift to have giant arms?

I’m not a weight lifter. I bought a measley 4 lb. bar to lift. In the past it’s been good at making me feel rested or relaxed when I went to bed. It’s in the closet right now.

I knew someone who got quite large arms using only a 20 lb dumbbell. usually if you lift heavier you will get ore bulk and lighter you get more definition…but there are no rules saying it has to be that way.

Go down the middle.

Right in between bulk and definition.

To much of either is bad.

Does that go for everything? It sounds like it goes for everything.

If you are female, the likelihood of big arms is very slim.

I would have to take anabolic steroids to have beefy arms. I’m like a fat version of the bloke in the Mr muscle ads.

Pob, I leave mine by the couch for when I’m watching tv, and do 20 reps each arm whenever I happen to be sitting there. It all adds up! It is kind of fun when you get going.

It’s so interesting to hear this, zengarden. Glad you have the strength and motivation to lift 30 pound dumbbells. Well-done , sister!

BTW, plz show us the muscles on your arms when you have achieved certain levels.

e_lunaseer, Good to know. I got 20lb and 30lb because I’m not sure how much I can lift before I risk blowing out an elbow. Lol. If I think I can do heavier weights I’ll buy them after I max these out. That’s good 20 lbs should make a difference then. I tried lifting it today but I had to be very careful. I managed to do five reps each side. It’s a start.

Pansdisease, that sounds like a good plan. Right down the middle, that must work for a lot of things for sure.

Samples32, yes, I’m a woman. I was wondering about that. It might be harder to build muscle, but I’m not going to give up without trying  My goal is to be able to lift those 30 pounders. I can carry them right now but can’t really lift them. I did manage to lift the 20 pounders but only a few times. Can’t believe I pulled that off. It will be an adventure!

Just gotta lift until that weight feels light. Then gotta lift more weight.
At one point of life I could bench at least 100lbs, and I’m a light weight.

Firemonkey, haha, yeah steroids is not an option. Won’t that make me grow a beard? I have to get walking on the treadmill because at this point if I have muscles you might not see them because I’m a bit overweight. Or I will have big arms and a big gut which would be hilarious. But I still want muscles even if you can’t see them.

Green6, thanks, I do have a lot of low energy issues, but I am home a lot and have time to do 20 reps periodically throughout the day. Everyone would be surprised with me because I’ve never been the most athletic. My step dad says I will quit in a week. Can’t wait to prove him wrong. If I can quit smoking I can do this. Next week will be two months quit. I was tempted to work out only one arm, so I had one giant arm and one scrawny arm lol but I resisted the temptation. I will have to take some pictures for sure and I will measure my arms as I go.

Why do you want beefy arms? Definition is more attractive on a girl. But lifting weights isn’t for looks only. Being strong comes in handy. So maybe that’s why you want beefy arms?

Suggests as a woman you need chemically altered substances added to your diet to achieve beefy arms.
Hello clitoris that turns into a small ■■■■■!!

I am glad or even proud one of our sisters wants beefy arms and lifts weights! This increases diversity to our society and brings about fun and achievement to herself. I am rooting for you, zengarden!

I’ve heard that if you build up your muscles, then quit lifting weights that you become flabby. Is this true?

Peavy, I will try that, yes I was finding the 10lb one starting to feel lighter  Wow, you benched 100lbs! That’s what my son weighs. I can lift him, but haven’t tried to bench him lol. But he would love it if I tried.

I’ve dead lifted around 200lbs before. But thats a dead lift, bench is different.
