I wanna go back to work but can’t afford Latuda without insurance. I’m wondering how good Geodon is compared to Latuda. I know it’s bad for your heart but what else can I expect from trying the cheaper medicine. How much weight did you gain on Geodon.
Geodon is generally considered weight neutral but I lost weight on it.
Geodon has been working for me for years, i’m on 60mg once a day at night. there are few side affects that i can notice but nothing major.

i am also on Prozac 20mg for depression and it has really helped me a lot this past month! i am also on blood pressure and acid re flux meds but those are not important.
Oh wow a med comparison topic I can finally chime in on because the former was my first AP and the latter is my current.
Before I begin keep in mind my reaction for meds will not be the same for anyone else.
Geodon made me gain no weight, I even lost a little while on it. When they bumped me up to 160mg I started having chest pains and got taken off of it ASAP. My ex-wife thought it was the reason I was acting like a zombie but in retrospect that is actually a result of my negative symptoms that got really bad around the time I started meds and Geodon didn’t really do anything for them. It actually worked well for my positive symptoms though for the time being.
I’ve been on Geodon 80 mg X 2 daily for over ten years. I also take Seroquel 400 X 2 daily. I’ve never had any unpleasant side effects from Geodon. These drugs control my symptoms. There are some physical side effects from these drugs. For a while I was getting very mild chest pains, barely enough to get my attention. Also, I am physically weaker on Geodon. I don’t have the strength I once had. Mentally, I can’t notice any side effects from both these drugs. I didn’t gain or lose weight on Geodon.
