I’m on 4.5 mg of Vraylar, and 60 mg of Geodon. I also take 90 mg of Cymbalta, 10mg of Propranolol, and 100 mg of Trazadone.
I’m quitting Geodon on my own right now. I’m tired of the side effects and being overmedicated.

What side effects does Geodon give you?
Obesity, chest pain, erectile dysfunction, etc.
I thought Geodon was weight neutral.
Every AP I’ve been on, I’ve gained weight. Only time I’ve lost weight is when I get off of them or go on Topamax.
I gained 50 pounds in a year on Geodon. Didn’t change my eating habits at all, but the med blew me up.
Are you doing this with the support of your pdoc, I hope? If I recall correctly, Geodon comes in capsules so you’ll need lower amounts to taper. Please don’t go cold turkey, you will get a huge return of your psychotic symptoms for sure if you do. I understand where you’re coming from - Geodon made me sleep constantly and I never felt like a med zombie as bad as when I was on it. But please do it the right way if you want to go off.
I recently stopped 160 mg of Geodon a day cold turkey for 6 days and it was rough. I was still taking Latuda but I thought I would get psychotic. I didn’t I just had extra anxiety and I wasn’t able to sleep well so I felt really bad. Two of the days I have to confess to popping an 80mg tablet of Geodon because it got too bad.
Anyway Geodon never put weight on me but Latuda does. And I had erectile dysfunction but when I quit taking it it went away. Now that I am taking it again the erectile dysfunction hasn’t come backyet. I don’t really understand the logic in that but I am not complaining. I will ask my VA doctor about it next time I see him as it doesn’t make logical sense but I haven’t needed a Viagra since I initially stopped it. I think I have been back on it for about a month. I feel so much better now that I am back on it but eventually I am going to start tapering down too.
