I have a garden that is shared with 9 other flats, i seem to be the only one who can do the hard work in the garden, my neighbour helps by buying plants and she makes it look nice but i do 90% of the work,
Any gardeners here?

I had a huge garden that I made at one of my ex brother in laws properties while in psychosis. I was afraid store bought foods were poison so I embarked on a huge endeavor to make this massive garden. It started out as this grassy area and I removed all the grass and fenced it in and planted a large variety of things.
Unfortunately I had this huge problem with animals from the woods nearby eating my foods grown there. In particular, there were these huge rodent thingies, not sure what they were but they were kind of like groundhogs, that would eat my watermelon and muskmelon before they could mature.
I want to be a gardener but i don’t have a garden.
My x in sa and I had perfect garden with vegetable patch and fruit trees.
It was perfect.
I miss it so much.
Great nature.
I have a lovely small tree on my balcony and lavender.
I have two small indoor plants too.
I hope I will be blessed with a garden in the future with vegetable patch and fruit trees and a pool even if it’s a plastic $200 pool .
I went to agriculture college first year only.
Can’t remember any names of plants.not even English names let alone Latin names.
I miss connecting to nature.
I have four pots of growing tomatoes as of now.
Also I plan to start growing tobacco plants upstairs too.
I can see why gardening can be addicting.
I have strawberries growing and starting to form, my pea shoots are flowering and looking great with a nice smell, i have potatoes growing, i’ve got a couple of berry bushes for jam, carrots, i have a pear tree as well, i can get a couple of tomato plants for free but they dont do well outside here.
I was in the Garden again today and filled up the water bin and watered the plants, did some weeding and i added some fertiliser to my Strawberries and berry bushes to give them a little boost, hopefully it will make a difference.
I started a biodynamic horticulture apprenticeship a while ago now. Wish I’d stuck at it. But ended up taking up a place with a second degree. Which was problematic. I loved being outside in all weather. Got drenched and didn’t care. Walked around in bare feet planting somedays. Was very muddy and I loved it. Got chased by bees, was slightly hilarious. Best remedy to a suicide attempt at the time I could have thought of doing and all voluntary. Wish I had a garden now. I fear that if I plant something where I live now a neighbour might just destroy it for a laugh. Its not very private and shared also. So i haven’t taken the risk. And probably cant afford to.
I have 11 tomato plants, half regular size, half cherry. All different varieties including chocolate cherry and beefsteak.
5 cucumber plants. 4 sweet pepper plants. I cayenne pepper and 1 jalapeño.
I went a bit overboard with the tomatoes. Last time i grew them i had 3 plants that produced more than we could use. 11 will be insane.
I might get a little green house next year for tomatoes but idk some kids tried running through my garden today to jump over the wall, idk what they were playing at but they saw me and just left
I just ordered a cheap growing area it should be enough but i can always get another if i need more space, its the perfect size.
